A workshop in the tradition of Joanna Macy
and the Work that Reconnects
with Tree Bressen
Saturday & Sunday, February 25-26
(Saturday 9am - 9pm, Sunday 9am - 6pm)
Eugene, Oregon
We live in a time of crisis, what some call the "Edge Times." The security of all past generations, that while individual or even many individual lives might be lost, humanity would continue and endure, is no longer with us. Cheap energy has accelerated the cycle of karma and consequences, and we humans must figure out wiser ways to co-exist, or else perish.
This workshop is an opportunity to delve into the feelings we carry about these possibilities: our grief, fear, and despair--and, our hopes for the Great Turning, the transformation from an industrial growth society to a life-sustaining civilization.
There are two ways to respond to collective trauma: we can let it divide us, or we can let it bring us together. This weekend is a conscious choice to take the path of connection through these intense challenges, a path with heart, leading to empowered action of behalf of the world we long to birth into being.
